Even now they are growing and helping families and companies purchase and sell residential and commercial Real Estate from Houston to Austin. With Nicky’s youngest son having graduated from Oak Ridge H.S in 2015, she was an empty nester and found herself thinking, Now What. “There were no more football games, no more practices,” Nicky remembered. “I had gotten my licensed but just didn’t know which brokerage to choose.” Keller Williams had the honor of working with Nicky first. She was recognized as Rookie of the Year for The Woodlands and Magnolia in 2016. “I built every part of my business on open houses,” Nicky shared. “Rain, sleet, or snow, Saturday and Sunday, I was doing open houses every weekend for the first six months of my career. I knew I needed to meet people and grow relationships with others in my community. In early 2020, Nicky and her team moved to RE/MAX The Woodlands & Spring where they were further honored with Texas Top 500 in both 2020 and 2021 as well as Platinum Club in 2020 and Chairman’s Club in 2021. During her time at Re/Max she also being furthering her career in commercial Real Estate and in September of 2022, she was recognized as one of the Top 25 Commercial leaders with Re/Max across the US. However, with all the accolades Nicky received, one of her proudest moments was bringing on her first buyer’s agent, Hillary Chaires. “She had goals and I wanted to make sure she reached them and help in any way I could to teach her the things I have learned along the way,” Nicky shared. “This year, she made out standing numbers and surpassed her goal and had more buyer’s closings than I did. I love it; my success is her success. Nicky knows that real estate is not an easy business. “Some people think you can just go get your real estate license and make money,” she said. “But you have to work hard. I’m passionate about giving others the opportunities to become successful and empowered in this business.” Nicky is also passionate about referrals. Aside from one billboard, she doesn’t spend a penny on outside marketing such as ads on social media. “Our business is 100% referrals,” Nicky said. “That means we’ve turned our clients into raving fans. I want every one of my clients to be a cheesehead—a die-hard fan. That’s how we run our business.” And business is booming. Last year, Nicky and her team completed 93 transactions with a total volume of $29M, a listing volume of over $10M, and a purchase volume of $18M. However, that doesn’t mean she’s always selling million-dollar homes. Nicky remembers a call early on in her career about an $80,000 house. It had flooded several times, and no one was interested in showing it, but Nicky did. “They bought that house with cash,” she remembered. “Since then, I’ve helped them buy and sell over 15 homes. It just goes to show you— everyone deserves for you to work as hard for them at 80,000 as you would at 8MM , Love what you do, work hard and success will come.” “Real Estate has given me the ability to spend more time with my family and friends, the position to travel, and even more it has given me the ability to be able to give back to my community. Nicky believes in giving back and being a part of something to help change. She is active with several charities including The Women’s Center, Habitat for Humanity and Houston Pets Alive. In fact several times a year, she and her team host events for their clients while collecting donations and items for the charities’. Nicky says “So many people want to help and donate but a lot of times just don’t know where or how, so our events truly help everyone give back.” Now with her new team in place a new opportunity has taken place and Nicky now has taken the leap over to CB&A The Woodlands and plans to begin breaking records and goals in 2023 in Houston and in Austin.
